For Inside there is a field of ruins, Anna Miguel Cervantes reechoes spacial and aesthetic values of the gallery as part of her practice on intrusion & reconciliation. Her continued exploration of technology through projection mapping is an inclination to review images that can disappear at will once the light is obscured, rendering an emptiness that the artist was never there. It is this dichotomy of being seen and unseen that parallels an interest in an approach that uses physical attributes of light and darkness.
This particular set of images: ceiling fan, curtain blowing in the wind, a moving landscape showing makeshift houses of internally displaced persons, neither call to itself nor show stillness in their contained exactitude. Somehow poetry, next to the books within the exhibition space that surrounds the work.
